Museum is one of the largest museums in the world. This museum is a museum of art most visited and also included into a historic monument in the world. The Louvre Museum is located in the Rive Droite Seine, the first arrondissement in Paris, France. about 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 19th century exhibited over an area of 60,600 square meters. Louvre Museum was opened right on August 10th, 1793 with 537 exhibiting paintings interesting. and the majority of these works is obtained from the kingdom and church properties confiscated French government. Because of structural problems with the building the museum, the Louvre museum was closed in 1796 until 1801. The amount of the Louvre museum collections increased under the reign of Napoleon and the museum was renamed the Musée Napoléon. In 2008, the museum's collection is divided into eight curatorial departments: collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities from the Near East, Greek, Roman, Etruscan civilization, Islamic Art, Decorative Arts, Sculpture, Painting, Prints and Art More images. more info :
